Staff Selection Commission has released the Combined Higher Secondary (10+2) Level Examination, 2026 notification for recruitment to Group C posts including Lower Divisional Clerk (LDC), Junior Secretariat Assistant (JSA), Data Entry Operator (DEO) and Data Entry Operator Grade ‘A’ in various Ministries, Departments, Offices and other Government organizations. The notification was issued on 07 September 2026.
A total of 2,536 tentative vacancies have been announced. SSC has clarified that the final number of vacancies may change after scrutiny of requirements received from the User Departments. Post-wise and category-wise updated vacancies will be published separately.
The online application process has started from 07 September 2026 and candidates can submit their applications up to 07 October 2026, 23:00 Hours. The last date for online fee payment is 08 October 2026, while the application correction window will remain open from 14 October to 16 October 2026.
The minimum educational qualification for LDC/JSA and most DEO posts is 12th Standard or equivalent. However, candidates applying for specified DEO/DEO Grade ‘A’ posts in certain departments must have passed 12th in the Science stream with Mathematics.
The recruitment examination consists of Tier-I and Tier-II Computer Based Examinations. Tier-I contains English, General Intelligence, Quantitative Aptitude and General Awareness. Tier-II includes Mathematical Abilities, Reasoning, English, General Awareness, Computer Knowledge and Skill/Typing Test. Final selection is based on Tier-II performance and post preferences, subject to qualifying the required sections.
